1997, Papago Park, Scottsdale, Arizona I purchased my first car, a white 1967 Volvo (Bette), in 1985. After a fender-bender in 1989, Bette experienced a makeover in the shade of pale pink. She moved with me to San Francisco and the old girl had trouble with the hills. I sold Bette a few years ago, just before my move to Los Angeles. She is sorely missed.
